Elon Musk’s first company was Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, also known as SpaceX, and was founded in 2002. Space X is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company responsible for commercializing Space travel. It has become the world’s leading private space exploration company and biggest provider of space transportation and commercial satellite launches. The company’s first successful launch was in 2008 and since then it has launched the Falcon 1, Falcon 9, and Falcon Heavy rockets, along with the Dragon spacecraft.
SpaceX has made history by becoming the first private company to launch a rocket into orbit, deliver cargo to and from the International Space Station and successfully return a spacecraft from low earth orbit, which indicates great potential for the future of commercial space exploration.
It has also broken records by launching 64 Falcon 9 launches and reusing the same Falcon 9 rocket three times. Through this endeavour, Musk hopes to make space travel more accessible and reduce the price of ensuring rockets, allowing for much more ambitious space exploration projects.

The Boring Company’s hyperloop system will transport passengers and vehicles through underground tunnels at speeds of up to 1200 km/h. SolarCity
SolarCity was founded by brothers Elon and Lyndon Rives in 2006 and was acquired by Tesla in 2016. The company works in two areas, residential solar installation and commercial solar financing. Revenue is generated through long term contracts or through lease agreements.
SolarCity provides two main products; solar panels and related services. This allows homeowners to reduce their power bills and carbon footprint through an alternative energy source. The solar panel installation also comes with an optional monitoring and maintenance service which gives homeowners peace of mind in case of any issues.
This venture convinced Lincoln to invest in Tesla. This bond has led Tesla to acquire SolarCity in order to reduce operating costs and increase its presence in the solar energy field.
Neuralink
Neuralink is a medical research company founded in 2016 and is a part of Elon Musk’s vision for the future. This company aims to explore the possibilities of using computer-brain interfaces to create a symbiosis between technology and humanity.

The Institute’s mission is to “advance digital intelligence in the way that is most likely to benefit humanity as a whole”.
The institute has established several projects so far. One of their most successful projects has been the development of a Go-playing AI. Additionally, the AI is currently being trained to cooperate with humans on difficult tasks, such as robotics and computer vision.
