Mark Zuckerberg is one of the world’s most popular tech entrepreneurs and it all started when he was a young man studying at Harvard. In early 2004, at the age of 19, he was a Harvard freshman and was about to change the way people use the internet forever. It was then when Zuckerberg decided to create a website called ‘The facebook’ and very quickly it began to attract millions of users.

When Zuckerberg invented Facebook he initially wanted to build a website that could only be accessed by those from his college, to help students keep in touch with each other. As he was only 19 at the time, it would be easy to assume that he was not experienced enough to think of something of this magnitude. It is remarkable that he managed to make something of such scale considering his age.

But Zuckerberg was driven by his innovation and he ended up building one of the most prominent websites of the 21st century. He also had the support of his colleagues at Harvard, which provided him with the technology and resources necessary to make it a success. Furthermore, he was encouraged by his mentors such as Sean Parker and Eduardo Saverin to follow his vision.

Zuckerberg’s age at the time, just 19 years old, meant that he lacked the experience and knowledge that most people in the tech industry needed. However, he was determined to prove his worth and managed to develop a product that exceeded expectations. In a way, his ambition and passion were more important than experience, and perhaps it is true that age does not necessarily equate experience.
