Elon Musk is one of the most influential and controversial figures in the business world. He is the founder of several major companies, including SpaceX and Tesla, and has been a trailblazer in the tech industry. But, despite his larger-than-life public persona, some aspects of his personal life remain shrouded in mystery- namely his marital status and whether or not he has any children.

Musk has been publicly single for the last few years, but prior to that he was married twice. His first marriage was to writer Justine Wilson in 2000 and the couple had six sons together. Unfortunately, this union ended in 2008 after eight years of marriage. After his divorce, Musk began dating actress Talulah Riley, whom he married in 2010. The couple divorced twice, in 2012 and again in 2016 and have no children together.

Musk is currently single, having last been linked to musician and producer Grimes in 2018, but it is unclear if he is still in a relationship with her. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Musk commented on his private life, stating: “I get caught up in my work, to the detriment of the rest of my life. But, to be fair, if I hadn’t sacrificed myself a lot, we wouldn’t have the products and companies we do today.”

Although he is likely best known as a business tycoon, Musk is also a family man. He is fiercely protective of his six sons and, despite reports of troubled relationships, Musk has revealed that he is close to his sons and rarely spends more than three weeks away from them. He has also spoken on the subject of parenting, commenting: “People don’t appreciate the difficulty of raising kids, and the amount of work it takes and the resources it takes. I think it’s underrated and underappreciated.”
