Early Life and Education
Elon Musk was born in South Africa in 1971. He is the co-founder of Tesla, SpaceX, and other companies who is currently worth around $66 billion. Musk decided to leave the US and pursue a PhD in Energy Physics at Stanford University, but Silicon Valley was growing fast and the prospect of working in the tech industry was exciting. He stopped his studies, and after planning the basis of Zip2 and X.com, he went on to use his own money to start his first businesses.
